President Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos Jr. publicized the lowering of the minimum age of criminal responsibility due to the deadly school shooting in Tacloban City, as stated by the Palace Press Officer Claire Castro on Tuesday.

Castro didn’t specify the minimum age limit, but according to the given statement, Marcos would critique any proposals that may pass on the matter.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is reinforcing the lowering of the minimum age from 15 to 12.

The shooting in Tacloban City happened at around 9 a.m in San Jose National High School, killing three people and leaving five more casualties.
