Pressure Behind the Success

The school year begins with confidence, hope, and excitement. Students go to their new classroom with goals  and determination because education is described as a key to success. However, as the weeks passed, excitement quickly turned to stress, with all the assignments, endless projects, and quizzes, it's somehow draining for a lot of students. And the pressure builds up, making them overwhelmed instead of inspired.

Academic pressure means to encourage learners to do their best. But whenever expectation becomes too high to reach, pressure can have the opposite effect. Such as lack of sleep, burnout, anxiety, and can even cause depression that becomes a common experience for students.

Hard work is essential, especially for success; they should be challenged to make them more determined and do their best. But education should not come at the cost of their mental well-being. Teachers and students have a role in creating a healthier learning environment. They should make better coordination regarding the deadlines without being piled up with lots of activities in just one day.

Success is not determined by how stressed students become; it is determined by how they learn and grow. If the pressure is still continuing to outweigh students, is it really educating students, or just teaching them how to endure stress?
